Valve released the SteamOS 3.0 recovery image for the Steam Deck to allow users to recover, repair, or re-image their Linux-powered gaming handheld device. With a 32GB (or more memory) USB drive, you can Re-image your Steam Deck in case you want to do a full factory reset to stock settings, clear local user data of your Steam Deck in case you want to reformat just the installed games and apps of your Steam Deck without re-installing the OS and reinstall Steam OS in case you want a re-install without deleting your games.
