Decky Loader is a homebrew plugin launcher for the Steam Deck. It can be used to stylize your menus, change system sounds, adjust your screen saturation, change additional system settings, and more.
Decky Loader Installation

- Go to the decky loader github page here and click the big download button.
- Locate the
decky_installer.desktopfile you just downloaded, double click it, click continue.
- Enter your sudo password and click OK. You can learn how to create a sudo password by watching this video here.
- Lastly you will be asked if you want to install the “release” or “pre-release” version. For now I would stick with the release version as it’s more stable.
- Now you’re done, head back to game mode. Press the Quick Access menu button on your Steam Deck and you should see the Decky Loader plug icon at the bottom right. You can now begin installing Steam Deck Plugins
