The Syntech Steam Deck dock immediately stands out due to its round look, the total opposite of every dock I’ve seen or came across that has a square based design. Around the round base the dock features one HDMI 2.0 4K@60Hz output, a Gigabit Ethernet input, three USB-A 3.0 output that you can use for external hard drives, a mouse, keyboard or any other USB device you own and an USB-C 3.0 for charging the Steam Deck. Also included in the box are two anti-slip thumb grips.
Syntech Steam Deck Dock
The Steam Deck fits perfectly in the dock with room to spare. The vents in the back aren’t blocked either.
Dbrand Killswitch Steam Deck Case
Spigen Steam Deck Case
The Syntech Dock fits both the Dbrand Killswitch & the Spigen Case although its not as sturdy as it is without the case.
HDMI 2.0 Output
The Syntech dock outputs to 4K 60hz.
Gigabit Ethernet vs Wifi
I tested the speeds for the gigabit ethernet port on the Dock vs Wifi by downloading Forspoken and doing a speed test.
The Syntech Dock has everything you’re looking for in a Steam Deck dock but with a different look, you can buy it for $49.99 on their website here.
Thank you to Syntech for sending their Steam Deck dock for review.
