The JSAUX Docking Station for the Steam Deck fills every void left by the delayed Valve Steam Deck dock. The people at JSAUX were kind enough to send me one, here are my thoughts.
The first thing I noticed when I received the JSAUX docking station was the build quality. Not only does it look great, it feels sturdy and well built as well. The docking station comes with an HDMI 2.0 port that outputs up to 4K 60hz, 3 USB-A 3.0 ports, a Gigabit LAN Ethernet input and a USB-C port for charging.
Plug and Play
After the simple unboxing, setting this up was pretty easy. I plugged in an HDMI cable from my monitor to the back of the dock, turned on the Steam Deck and just like that my Steam Deck was docked. Nothing extra was needed to be done to get this working.
3 USB-A 3.0 Ports
Everyone’s use for these ports will vary but for me I currently have a USB mouse and keyboard connected to the dock and they worked instantly with no issue.
Gigabit LAN Ethernet
I decided to give the upgraded ethernet port a few tests starting by downloading Sleeping Dogs from the Steam store and comparing the speeds that I get from wifi to the gigabit ethernet and it was a night and day comparison as you can see below.

Next, I did a speed test on speedtest.net and the dock’s gigabit ethernet port showcased its power again matching my ISP’s download/upload speeds.
USB-C port
You can power your Steam Deck and recharge its battery while plugged to the Docking Station buy plugging in the charger cable the Steam Deck came with into the back of the docking station.
HDMI port
The HDMI port on the docking station supports up to 4K 60hz.
A standalone Steam Deck stand
Even if you don’t have any interests in using the docking feature on the Steam Deck this docking station could easily be used as a stand to your Steam Deck on your desk.
