Fort Solis Steam Deck Review

Fort Solis is a 3rd person narrative-driven horror game set on Mars. Engineer Jack Leary responds to a routine alarm at Fort Solis, but finds the outpost to be unnervingly dormant. As the night grows longer, events begin to unravel and spiral out of control.

Fort Solis is a beautiful cinematic game that keeps you on your toes at all times with its interactive gameplay, quick time events and engaging story that you’re trying to unravel through out your playthrough.

Fort Solis Steam Deck Performance

I have CryoUtilities installed on my Deck with my Steam Deck performance frame limit and refresh rate set to 40.

fort solis 40

This game is a lot to handle for the Steam Deck, I averaged around 30fps with highs of 40fps and lows in the 20’s. Reading the map is almost impossible as the text is blurry at the Steam Deck’s resolution. If you can get pass the issues, there’s a good engaging story here with some cool cinematic quick time event gameplay.
