MiLE HiGH TAXi is a fast paced sci-fi driving game that takes place in the air as you hover and race against the clock in a futuristic city inspired by the movie The Fifth Element with arcade style gameplay inspired by the classic Sega game Crazy Taxi.
Aside from the in game tutorial there are three different modes to choose from, Standard is your traditional Crazy Taxi mode where you pick up passengers and deliver them to their destinations in times. Free Roam lets you freely drive through the city and Sequential is a mode where passengers must be picked up and dropped off in sequence.
If you’re a Crazy Taxi fan you will definitely get some nostalgic vibes playing this, it could definitely be fun and frustrating at times. The controls feel a bit wonky, the graphics aren’t visually pleasing and I wished there were in game settings for audio to lower the in game music.
MiLE HiGH TAXi Steam Deck Performance
The game is officially Steam Deck verified. I managed to get frames from the mid 40’s to 60 and was able to cap it to a solid 40fps using the Steam Deck’s performance overlay. There aren’t many video settings to tweak in game besides motion blur, post processing and anti aliasing. For a game that doesn’t push it graphically I was hoping for better performance honestly.
