Joe Wander and the Enigmatic Adventures Steam Deck Review

Joe Wander and the Enigmatic Adventures is a beautiful puzzle platformer created by Frozen Pixel. Use your whip and its whip-based mechanics to jump through various platforming challenges in four different worlds.

Joe Wander and the Enigmatic Adventures is a cool laid back platformer similar to games like Astro’s Playroom and Sackboy with some nice visuals that looks great on the Steam Deck.

Joe Wander and the Enigmatic Adventures Steam Deck Performance

Our in game settings could be found on our side bar to the right of this article (if you’re on desktop) or at the bottom of this article (if you’re on mobile).

This game is Steam Deck verified but it’s graphics are pretty intensive on your FPS if you want dial things up. My goal was to get a solid 40fps and I managed to get that with some dips to the mid 30’s during some levels with rain. I also managed to get around 3 hours of battery life with these settings.

I have CryoUtilities installed on my Deck with my Steam Deck performance frame limit and refresh rate set to 40. I have V-Sync on, all my graphic presets set to low and MSAA off.
