Amnesia The Bunker is a first person horror game set in a World War 1 bunker. You play as French soldier Henri Clément where survival depends on finding tools, crafting items, and keeping the lights on as a monster stalks you.
Once you wake up in the bunker confused, your journey in the maze like bunker begins with nothing at your nothing at your disposal. Eventually you’ll get your startup items, a flashlight that you need to charge consistently and a gun with very little ammo scattered throughout the bunker so use it wisely. You have an inventory you carry and you can craft up items like bandages.
The Administration Room is your main hub where you can lock yourself in and manually save your progress by clicking the Lantern. Also here is a generator that needs to be filled with a fuel can that you find across the bunker. The catch is there’s a time limit on how long the power will be on after fueling it. Make sure to keep an eye on the stop watch you pick up in this room, you don’t want to get caught up in the dark with the monster lurking. The further you get in the bunker the more cautious you need to be with the monster always lurking waiting for you to make a mistake.

I have CryoUtilities installed on my Steam Deck with my refresh rate and framerate limit set to 60. With my recommended settings I managed to get a close solid 60fps inside the bunker where most of the game is played and some dips into the 40’s outside the bunker at the beginning of the game. And with these settings I managed to get over two hours of play time.
I had some glitches on my hand throughout the game that are noticeable when interacting with objects or zooming in with the gun.
Overall Amnesia: The Bunker is a solid playable experience on the Steam Deck, if you’re a fan of games like Alien: Isolation that keep you on your toes this game is for you.
