Trepang2 is a fast pace gory first person shooter inspired by F.E.A.R, Max Payne and Duke Nukem with it’s over the top non stop action.
You play as 106, an escape solider with zero memory who breaks out a blacksite where enemy scientists were experimenting on him. You are equipped with two supernatural abilities, the ability to go cloak for a duration of time and the ability slow down time. You’re on the ultimate revenge run killing everything in your way, hoping to find some answers.
Navigate through the game to unlock attachments for your variety of guns and eventually you’ll be able to dual wield weapons too.
Trepang2 is a prime example of a game that doesn’t need a rich story to get you hooked. As soon as you get your first gun, the action never stops. Slowing down time and shooting off the limbs of the horde of enemies approaching you never stops being fun. Activating the cloak, going behind an enemy, attaching a grenade to him and throwing him back towards the enemies for a big explosion is incredible.

A fast paced FPS shooter like this is meant to play at 60 fps. Unfortunately, Trepang2 isn’t optimized for the Steam Deck. I had to lower a bunch of the settings and when I got around 60fps, the game still felt a choppy plus the visuals didn’t look good at all. I’m hoping for a performance update in the future because this game is too much fun to put down.
