Bang On Balls Chronicles Steam Deck Performance
I have CryoUtilities installed on my Deck with my Steam Deck framerate and refresh rate locked to 60. If you want a more stable performance you could lock the frame rate to 40.
Running this at 60hz with my settings got me almost a solid 60fps play through with minor dips into the 50’s.
Running this at 40hz and locking the FPS to 40 allows you to up the graphics to get a better visual experience with the same fun gameplay.
Overall Bang On Balls is a solid fun experience that looks great on the Steam Deck and is the exact type of platformer that thrives on a handheld device like the Steam Deck. Once you pick it up and start playing it’s too fun to put down. If you told me I would have this much fun playing as a ball I would have called your a liar.
If you get tired of playing alone, the game allows 2-player split screen and for you to connect online for a co-op session with up to 4 players.
